Scouting is a great adventure for everyone, whether you are a young person aged 6 or an adult aged 66 there is something in Scouting for you.
The sections are open to young people aged from 6-25 years of age, with five sections to progress through from Beavers (6 - 8 yrs) to Network (18 - 25 yrs).
The groups and sections would not exist if it was not for our band of volunteers, who donate as much time as they can - whether this is an hour a month to a few hours a week. This can be from helping to run a section each week, to looking after the groups accounts - it all needs to be done to keep the movement going.

Scouting is open to all young people aged 6-25 years of age. If you are interested in joining the adventure then click here.
Scouting is broken down into five sections, these are explored more below.
Adult volunteers act in many different roles, Leaders run the activities but they are supported by management roles in their Group. Each group has a committee, and many have adults to help with Hall Maintenance, or equipment and facility upkeep. There are roles suitable for all levels of expertise and ability, as long as you have enthusiasm!
